Case Description
Hi,
I am 29 years old and I am looking for a resonable priced orthodontist. I was told that I need to remove 4 teeth because I have to many teeth in my mouth, and I was quoted a price of $ 7999 for Braces. Why is the price so high? and what would that include? I live in Brooklyn and would like to know if I can get a better deal. Thanks

Hi, Dear confused Patient.The fact of removing 4 teeth is wrong. Today, in 2007 you need to find someone more advanced, who would know and Value the meaning of a Tooth in function. First of all WHY do you need to align your teeth at your age?Second: there is different WAYS to achieve alignment of teeth: - traditional orthodontics - functional orthodontics - computer produced plastic devices (invisiline)Three: different dentists are educated, trained & experienced different with different targets in treatment: -teeth only - jaw & teeth - body, jaw''''s & teeth. PRICES vary. You may end up paying more for a less valuable job and versa versa. As you can see there is a jungle out there!It is your job to choose and decide !!!Good luck with it.
