Case Description
I need an estimate for a crown on my Second Molar on the lower left side (tooth 18?) About 8 months ago, I had a root canal performed on the tooth while living abroad in Japan and a kind of temporary crown was poorly attached. This crown is now disintegrating there is a distinct hole which exposes the empty part of the tooth, so I know I need treatment soon. I need an estimate on a crown for this tooth, and I need to find a dentist that offers a payment plan for this treatment.

There is a distinct possibility that this tooth may also require a post, core and crown, depending upon the amount of tooth structure present. The only way to tell for certain is by performing an exam and taking an x-ray of the area. Our office offers no interest payment plans through Care Credit and Chase Healthcare financing. Hi.You are right- you should have the tooth looked at and treated promptly, to avoid getting decay under the temporary crown (this could lead to loss of the tooth). Crowns are not all alike, so fees should never be looked at in a vacuum- there are different levels of quality based on the makeup of the crown, aesthetics(how lifelike it looks), the quality of the dental lab where the crown will be fabricated, etc. In our office, crowns range in price from $875 to $1150, depending on the factors mentioned above.
