Case Description
Hi,
I was actually initially planning on getting braces but after hearing from a couple of orthodontists, realized that the only thing that can help me is the costly maxillofacial surgery. I have a mild overbite and overjet (protruding upper jaw) which gives me a gummy smile. I also have a deviation of the midline to the left (mild) I beleive of the upper jaw, and jaw that occasionally will make clicking noises when I chew, which I was told is normal.
I am am not looking into gingivectomy because my teeth are already a bit large.
Are there any other options for me. Also, I wanted to know if there's any Orthognathic Surgeon offering complimentary consultations?
Thank You

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Orthognathic surgery is a common procedure for various dental problems that cannot be corrected with braces alone. Even if you do need jaw surgery you still have to get braces before the surgery to help align the teeth in a way that they would feet together once surgery is done. Even though most orthodontic treatment is not covered by the insurance plans, the surgery is usually covered under medical insurance. The first step will be for you to come in and let us examine you to determine your Orthodontic requirements. There is normally a $125 consultation fee. Due to our current internet promotion, there is no charge for the visit in the months of September/October.Here are some available appointments in the next few weeks. Please let us know which works best for you:" Wednesday September 30th: 1:15pm, 6:30pm" Thursday October 1st: 12:30pm, 3:00pm" Monday October 5th: 10:45am, 1:15pm, 3:00pm" Tuesday October 6th: 8:45am, 1:15pm" Wednesday October 7th: 2:00pm, 2:45pmShould you require a time slot that is not shown above, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our practice is right on the 4, 5 express train stop on 87th & Lexington so getting here quickly is very practical.Looking forward to meeting you.
