Case Description
Two weeks ago I did a Root Canal treatment for tooth 5, two days after i suffered inflammation in the gums over the 5 tooth and two of my upper right front teeth 7 and 8, with the same inflammation and started to be loose. I used two antibiotics during first, Augmentin 1 g, amoxycillin for 5 days and Dalacin c 300mg, Clindamycin, for last week . I don't see improvement in my case regardless of the dentist treatment and the medication. I started to worry and I don't want to lose my front teeth. Please advice. Thank you.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hi, First If taking all those antibiotics after finishing the root canal didnt help, the I would have the root canal rechecked by someone else.Second, it is highly unlikely that ttoth numbers 7 and 8 would be affected by the root canal in tooth number 5. Since you said the teeth feel loose, I suspect you have a separate gum condition taht also needs o be examined. We offer FREE consults to all our Dr Oogle patients.Dr Gochman718 359-3555www.nysmilecreators.com

As one dentist mentioned it could be two separate issues. onebeing root canal the other being periodontal(gums). Therepossibly might be an undiagnosed or untreated root canal oneither of those teeth affected. I would have to make thatdetermination when i see you and your xrays. Additionallyim questioning why you arent seeing resolution after beingon a strong dose of antibiotics. You can contact my officeon tuesday and schedule a consult to discuss this further.

It is difficult to make a diagnosis without dental radiographs and a complete examination. My main goal would be to do whatever is possible to try to save your teeth. I am a Prosthodontist and only work with the highest trained specialists. It sounds like your condition is periodontal in nature and can be resolved. Please call to schedule a consultation.212-223-3632Thank you,Dr Marc Sclafani
