A hygienist friend recommended I see Dr. Lupovici for some much needed gum work. Not only was he very good, she said he would be "more gentle" than other doctors she knew and would also probably work with me on the cost of the surgury, since I did not have dental insurance. So, I was sold! I had a great experience with Dr. Lupovici. He is patient thoughtful, knowledgeable and a very good doctor. His staff is lovely, I spend a lot of time prior to the procedure on the phone with his office manager, who patiently answered all my questions and talked me through the procedure and what to expect. She also worked very hard to accommodate my busy schedule and schedule appointments to see the Dr. when I needed to. I would highly recommend Dr Lupovici. Any doubts, call up and speak to Lelani.

I have serious dentist fear, and serious dental needs: years of grinding had left me in need of a whole lot of gum grafting. From the second I stepped into the office, I felt comfortable: Dr. Lupovici and Leilani were just wonderful. Dr. L. was the 2nd doc I had seen on this, and the difference was amazing: he was straightforward, clear, pragmatic, reassuring, and thorough in his approach and explanations. The pricing was very fair, the procedure painless, recovery easy (& I hear that's not usually true), follow-up excellent. I will never go to anyone else ever again.

Besides being extremely capable and professional, Dr. John is honest, friendly, clear, precise and extremely importantopen to any questions in your periodontal evaluation and treatment. His treatment is near painless and so successful that my regular dentist sends her mother to him. You can't beat that! And when I lost my job a year ago, Dr. John (and his assistant Leilani) offered me a 'free' cleaning, just so my treatment plan wouldn't be knocked off course. The humanity of the man! Outside of regular cleanings and several necessary extractons, Dr. John did a frontal implant, very successful I might add. No more tight-lipped smiles. Backed by 'gorgeous,' capable, and 'feel at home' welcoming Leilani and a very cute (equally near painless) Laura-Dern-lookalike hygienist (so sorry, can't remember your name), you just want to run to Dr. John's for your next visit. I would send my old dad to Dr. John's if he still had any teeth. Bad, bad flosser, dad!

After a disastrous root canal elsewhere my new dentist sent me to Dr. Lupovici to look into a crown lengthening or extraction and implant. Dr. Lupovici explained the risks of the crown lengthening to me and we tried it. Unfortunately it did not work out. Extraction and implant appear to have worked like a charm, on the other hand. Procedures are remarkably stress and pain free (no small matter after the stress and pain of treatment by my prior dentist). The staff is excellent, the facilities first rate and the billing fair and transparent. I wouldn't recommend anyone mess up their teeth the way I did, but if you do, I would very highly recommend Dr. Lupovici

As my wonderful dentist highly recommended and praised for Dr. Lupovici's expertise, certainly, Dr. Lupovici is the best implant specialist and periodontist I have ever met. I completed 5 implants and one tissue grafting with painless procedure. I need to have 3-4 more implants, and I would only have Dr. Lupovici to do the procedure. I fell off my bike when 10 years old and knocked out a front tooth. Since then I have been through multiple new crowns and ended up with a crack in the root, through no fault of anyone. I was referred to Lupovichi for implant. I found the entire process, whilst not something you choose to have done, entirely painless with Lupovichi. If you are thinking of having implants he is the person to see. He is young enough to be up on all that is happening in his field since he travels and gains and gives knowledge to other professionals globally, but experienced enough to have seen all there is that occurs. The procedure of removing and placing my implant was painless and the follow up thorough including his call on the same evening of the procedure. There is no doubt in my mind to question anything Lupovichi is saying as he has already done all the work to gather global opinions in his area of expertise. All staff are exceptional which is great bonus, but really once you are complete, its the skill of this specialist that is most important to me

I was referred to Dr. Lupovici for implants and periodontal work. I have not had much success with periodontists in the past. I reccommend Dr. Lupovici without reservation. I have been to many dentists and it is his technique that I am most impressed with. I am certain he is very adept and skillful in ways that I had not seen before. New York city is a hard place to be able to know which doctor, or dentist is for you because there are so many top dentists here. With no doubt in my mind I would send anyone to Dr. Lupovici. Why? Because first his staff and anthesiologist are EXTREMLY helpful, caring, and work with the patients, which as someone said is how it should be but never is anymore. They make the experience easy and probelm free. Then Dr. Lupovici is a doctor with a heart, hard to find these days. He listens and treats his patients with respect. I had four wisdom teeth out and had a great recovery with ZERO swelling. The whole procedure was easier then trying to order a coffee at starbucks. He followed up that night with a call to check in, which was amazing. The follow up appointment cleared all my questions and made my experience wonderful. They are all professional and I guess you could choose another dentist but why would you...he is the BEST!

Dr. Lupovici is funny, kind, nice and enjoys a good laugh. All the people who work in his office are genuinely happy people who love their jobs and that makes the whole atmosphere of the place very relaxed. I have been seeing Dr. Lupovici for about a year and a half, and it literally feels like I am going to visit a friend when I go for my appointments. I wish all my doctor appointments were like this.Also, I think it's important to say that he does not push procedures on you. He suggests things only when it becomes absolutely necessary, and even then, he gives you information and then just lets you think about it.All I can say is I hope he doesn't retire before I die! Otherwise he may find me on his doorstep begging for dental procedures. And you know what? He'd probably answer the door.

I had been treated by four periodontists before Dr. Lupovici and I'm so relieved that I finally found a periodontist who listens to my concerns and explains the treatments. He guided me through the procedures and was extremely considerate of my feelings and fears. I had the same procedures performed by the other periodontists and this was the first time I wasn't in pain during and after. Dr Lupovici is one of those doctors that you don't want to tell anyone about, lest he become so popular that it's impossible to get an appointment. As someone who has, and continues to have, extensive work done to her mouth, however, I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes that it will help future patients. Dental work is not fun; nor is it cheap. Dr Lupovici makes it as painless a procedure as possible, and after doing some web research, I found his prices to be competitive. I have had five extractions (4 were wisdom teeth), a dental implant, a crown lengthening, and will likely have more work done in the future. He performs procedures in a thoughtful and technically superior manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and accessible. (e.g., He calls each patient to check up the night of a wisdom tooth extraction to make sure you are still alive.) Your concerns will become his. Enough said.

I was refered to Dr Lupovici for extraction of wisdom tooth and for implant. It was a very complex procedure, but he made me feel amazingly relaxed. It was not too painful. His pleasant nature made me feel at ease. He took a real interest in my activities and we discussed interesting things that we both had in common e.g travel, immigrant parents and boxing. He is a model professional. I have never met a dentist who has been so diligent. For example, he continually wanted to check in with me after the operation in order to make sure everything was great. My patients and parents of the practise rave about how comfortable Dr. Lupovici makes them feel when I refer them over for canine exposures, frenectomies and other periodontal procedures done on children. I am a pediatric dentist, who is very particular about whom I send my patients to, and am pleased with the comments from my patients regarding Dr. Lupovici. His work is also to be commended, he is very particular about tissue managemment, which makes post operative sensitivity minimal.
