I just wanted to give a special thanks to the best oral surgeon i have ever encountered. Dr. Calat, you are the man!! I went to Dr. Calat with tremendous tooth pain that was supposedly "fixed" by another dentist. Dr. Calat went through my complete history, took x-rays with what looked like the latest x-ray equipment and went over all of my options in detail. I was almost embarrassed to be taking up so much of his time with my never ending questions. We decided that the best route to go was an extraction of my tooth and implant surgery. I went in on my scheduled appointment and was seen right on time. The staff was extremely nice and really made me feel as ease. They all deserve raises!! I decided to stay awake for the procedure. Dr. Calat numbed the area and went to work. He, too, spoke to me throughout the procedure to keep my calm (no fair, Dr. Calat, I couldn't laugh or respond!!). The procedure was quick and painless. Later that night, Dr. Calat called to see how I was feeling. I told him I was a little nervous because I didn't have any pain at all. He chuckled and said that was a good thing.

Here's to you, Dr. Calat, for letting my chew on my right side again. Thank you for everything. You will forever come highly recommended.

Even though I had extreme fear of the procedure he made me feel very calm and safe and explained everything well to me. I had an IV Sedation in which when the procedure was done i didn't felt no pain afterward.

Also, the atmosphere of the office is great and the other staff are all friendly, welcoming and do their best to make you feel calm and relaxed. I really recommend anything looking for a oral surgeons to visit Dr. Paul Calat.

We just removed the other side last week. This was the side that was close to the nerve. I'm happy to report the operation was a complete success again. I guess I can say I had a little bit of pain but I only used a couple pain killers.

Dr Calat has a very nice demeanour and put me at ease each time I spoke to him. His staff are very nice as well. The office has a nice setup...he has his own CT scan machine which really sped up the process. I would recommend him to anyone for wisdom teeth extraction.

One caveat - I can't really effectively comment on the cost of the operations as I didn't shop around. My dentist recommended Dr Calat as a surgeon and I took his word for it. But at the end of the day, I had two pain free operations in a comfortable setting. What else is there to say.

I had an IV Sedation of Valium and can remember nothing of the procedure and felt no pain afterwards. The swelling is minimal to none. Which must say something about his skill as a surgeon, as my friends told me they had a lot of swelling after similar procedures.

Dr Calat is a true pro and would not hesitate in recommending him to my friends or anyone else who needed a dental operation. Incidentally, this is the first time i've ever been prompted to write an online review about how good something is, which should say something about the experience I had :)

   After a little research in the internet and because of the reviews in this site I decided to have a consultation appointment with Dr. Calat, it was a Wednesday and by Friday it was done...it has been 5 months since I have the procedure done... Every person that works there is absolutely wonderful; Dr. Calat is extremely professional and so is the rest of his team. The facilities are impeccable and he even has his own MRI machine so you don't loose time going elsewhere.

The procedure was painless, no pain killers only a couple of Advil. Believe me, I have seen many dentists and Oral Surgeons in my life and I can only say that Dr. Calat is by far #1.

I certainly will come back to have my wisdom tooth removed!

All of my anxiety started to fade away the second I arrived at the office, despite learning that all four of my wisdom teeth needed to be removed. Every member of the staff was friendly, willing to answer all of my questions, and very gentle. Dr. Calat himself could not possibly have been nicer-- he took the time to explain every step of the procedure, particularly the steps that I was nervous about (I was absolutely terrified of being put under), and when the surgery started I felt completely at ease. I fell asleep laughing.

Post-Op expect the following: Phone calls and emails asking how you are doing and if you have any questions or concerns. A doctor who really cares, unheard of now a days.

I wish Dr. Calat would do regular dentistry and be my dentist.

Dr. Calat is a rare doctor who takes the time to listen and answer all questions/concerns in a very honest and straightforward manner.

It was very refreshing to get his unbiased opinions. You could tell he wants what is best for the patient and puts your health, and comfort first.

The staff never came off as judgmental or impatient. I was done in less than an hour, I awoke with virtually no pain or bleeding. I had zero swelling and was able to commence normal eating habits in a about a week.

Now a few months after the dental implants and reconstructive bone surgery, the front of my mouth feels natural, and my jaw whole again. My dentist, as he checked out Dr. Calat's work to fit me for crowns, described the dental implants as perfect. In looking at the x-ray of my jaw, there is not even a mark where there once was a hole.

I've had terrible fear of all dental procedure, but he was so gentle and caring, with great technique and knowledge , so my fear was almost gone.

The result was excellent and I am ready to go to the next step.

I had been ignoring a half decayed half impacted wisdom tooth for over three years. Exposed nerves and all.

My last experience with an oral surgeon just 7 years ago was "knees on the chest / medieval".

The combination of Dr. Paul's calming demeanor, his absolute expertise and the technology that has progressed so much recently added up to a completely painless experience.

Dr. Calat is a caring an knowledgable professional. His office is state of the art and his well trained staff are great to interact with. The office will always accomodate an emergency with ease.

Dr. Calat's outstanding clinical skills, thoughtfulness and good communication always gives our patients an experience that they uniformly describe as "The Best!"

Dr.Calat also was very kind to go over with costs and recommend ways of payment. Once again I can't stress strong enough how accomodating he was with any questions I had and did not push me to make a quick decision.

The first extraction was done with local anesthesia and the second one with sedation. In both cases healing period was about 10 days, and relatively painless (I didn't even take painkillers).

Dr. Calat was very cooperative and helpful with my insurance claims. He even waived the fee for cyst removal, which my medical insurance didn't cover as he's the out of network doctor. He also wrote a note to my dental insurance company explaining why sedation was necessary so I get reimbursed for it. It was definitely worth going to his office even if he's out of my insurance network and paying 10% more than I would pay at the "in network" provider.

Front desk is very responsive and courteous. Facilities are very clean, modern, relaxing, and conveniently located.

I highly recommend Dr. Calat as an oral surgeon. He is competent, cooperative, and has a pleasant personality. He is easily reachable for emergencies.

He gave me comfort, took his time to explain everything and different options, and assured me that everything would work out well.

I went for a second opinion to another doctor, who was on my health plan, but I came running back to Dr. Calat's office even though he wasn't on my health plan because of the great impression he gave and the confidence I had in his abilities.

His office staff is great: so nice and so helpful with working with insurance companies and making appointments. Dr. Calat's office is also very modern and clean with modern equipment.

The pain was the only thing I had worried about (even though I'm 26), but I felt nothing during the procedure because of the medication they gave me and it was over within an hour and I was ready to go! He gave prescriptions for pain medication afterward so it wasn't the agony I was afraid of. Every penny was worth it.

After seeing two other oral surgeons, I was very nervous. But Dr. Calat's demeanor quickly put me at ease. He seemed to truly listen to each of my concerns and wanted what was best for me.

The staff, were extremely professional yet very warm. While I was asleep, Dr. Calat removed my 2 teeth with failed root canals. And placed 2 implants that same visit. He even reccommended me an excellent cosmetic dentist, who placed temporary crowns that same day. I awoke, as if I had just taken a nap and the procedure was finished. I returned to work smiling the next day. : )
