Dr. Hung is the best. Save yourself some time and aggravation and don't go anywhere else. You will be happy with Dr. Hung. He is the best orthodontist. He should be out there teaching every doctor how to treat a patient. Always respectful, giving me the time I needed, always patient with me. He explained everything he was doing. His chairside manners really should be the model that every type of doctor should follow. He's top trained with the best skills. Staff is great.They are the nicest and have a sense of humor. I know I'm a pain with all my requests, but they are so happy to help me. I've had some great laughs with Dr. Hung's crew. No one likes going to the dentist, but I enjoyed going to see Dr. Hung and his office. It was like a relaxing friendly break from the NYC craziness.

My experience with Dr. Hung was fantastic! If you are looking for an orthodontist in Manhattan look no farther. His office is modern and clean and the staff always greets you with a smile. They were very flexible with scheduling and able to accommodate me since I was traveling between NYC and Chicago at the time. I would recommend getting the invisalign treatment. It took a bit longer but it makes your day to day activities (no fishing out food from wires) and your dating life a lot easier. My treatment lasted about 2 years and since then I have been complimented by every Dentist about how great my teeth look. On a final note, I enjoyed the process tremendously and he took the extra time to explain to me in detail every step of my treatment. He is a very professional and skilled doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to get the best orthodontic care . Thanks Dr. Hung!

I just finished my treatment with Dr. Hung, and I am so thrilled with my results. I had a lot of crowding and was told by two other orthodontists prior to visiting Dr. Hung that I had to have teeth extracted, had to wear regular braces, and that my treatment would take almost twice as long. At 36, I was really dreading the idea of having to wear braces for more than 2 years. I am so glad that I decided to go with Dr. Hung. He was able to treat me with Invisalign without extracting my teeth. I had heard he was the best, and it's so true. He explained everything so well every step of the way, is so likeable, and is really an amazing orthodontist. And the cost of treatment was much less than I had anticipated. I was quoted an extremely high cost from the other doctors who I initially visited, and I had researched the general cost of Invisalign so I expected the cost to be much higher. Dr. Hung's practice is so patient-friendly with the finances. From the very first consult, I knew all the costs ahead of time. The practice manager spent about 45 minutes with me, patiently and clearly answering the tons of questions I had about finances, flexible spending and insurance. Bottom line: I absolutely recommend Dr. Hung!

I was referred to Dr. Hung by my dentist for Invisalign treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Hung. He has great chair-side manners, explains everything, and takes time to answer questions. He is very down to earth and easy to talk to. His staff is friendly and professional. The office is modern and clean. My Invisalign treatment was successful and was completed in only 1 year. Although expensive, Invisalign works well and doesn't cause too much pain or inconveneince.

I had Invisalign treatment with Dr. Hung for spaces. I was nervous and skeptical at first but Dr. Hung's reassurance and passion put my fears at ease. I trusted him completely and am so glad i did. I am more confident and its all thanks to Dr. Hung and his staff. The price is well worth with it. I wish i had found him 10 years ago - dont wait, go now! If i had to give one warning is be prepared to wait, even if you have an appointment. But once you sit with Dr. Hung he really takes his time with you and answers any questions you have. I work near the office and a couple of times i would need to see him and he would always fit me in last minute. Love you guys!

I have been seeing Dr. Hung for about 2 1/2 years, my previous orthodontist was a partner of Dr. Hung, when Dr. Tai moved to California Dr. Hung took over... I was nervous about the change, but when they say everything happens for a reason they are so right. Dr. Hung took over with great enthusiasm and I actually looked forward to my visits. I recently had my braces removed and my teeth look GREAT!!! His office is super friendly, always helpful and they all have great smiles. I would recommend Dr. Hung to all my family which is the best recommendation you can give.

I originally went into Dr. Hung's office to repair a faulty wire that had been in my mouth for more than a decade from a previous orthodontist. After learning about the Invisalign procedure from Dr. Hung, I decided to go ahead with the process. I could Not Be Happier with the Results! In a short number of months, I was able to see improvement and now the space between my front teeth is gone! Despite its cost, the process works and is worth every penny. Dr. Hung and his staff are knowledgeable and gentle. You actually believe he's on a personal mission to improve your smile. I have and would recommend Dr. Hung and Invisalign to anyone.

Dr.Hung and staff are the best! My treatment was 100% successful and I had nothing but good experiences with everyone in his office. They do tend to run a bit behind in their appts later in the day - but it's due to the personal service they offer each patient (no trying to rush you out or not giving you ample time to ask questions, etc). so i figure it's worth the wait. Dr.Hung pays extreme attention to detail and when you are done with your treatment he takes extra care to make sure, cosmetically, everything is exactly perfect. he's the perfect blend of "quantative" (making sure the science and health of your teeth are perfect) and "qualitative" (making sure you are 100% satisfied with the cosmetic side as well). his office is bright and clean. plus he recommended me to my new favorite dentist! all around a great and positive experience. any my straight, white, sparkling teeth are awesome!!!!! thanks Dr. Hung!!!!!

He's not the cheapest, but Dr. Hung got ASTONISHING results in my case. Explanations and treatment time estimates were clear and dead-on accurate, and the outcome has been fantastic. I have a low threshold for pain and do not like dental work (who does?). Both he and his staff are great in terms of reducing treatment anxiety.

I'd recommend him without a moment's hesitation. Getting this treatment was one of the best investments of time and money I have made in my life.

My dentist recommended Dr. Hung because I was interested in have an overlapping front tooth straightened. Dr. Hung was not only upbeat and a delight to work with, but he focused as much on the health of my teeth as the cosmetics. His chair-side manner is the best. The staff is incredibly warm and reassuring. The treatment time (about a year) flew by with no pain and very little inconvenience. No one knew I was wearing Invisaligns unless I told them. And now, I could not be happier with my smile. Dr. Hung is a charming perfectionist, which is a wonderful combination.

My current dentist referred me to Dr. Hung to correct a gap that developed between my two front teeth. Throughout the treatment process, Dr. Hung was very upfront, thoroughly explaining the cause of the gap and the necessary steps to correct the problem as well as appropriately managing my expectations. I developed a strong relationship with them and their practice and have recommended several people because of the outstanding service I received. I used Invisalign for 22 hours a day for about a year and half. I know use them only at night. I am ecstatic at the outcome. My teeth are beautiful and straight. I had braces as a child but as the years passed by and my retainer and I parted ways, I developed a gap between my front two teeth. Doctor Hung and Doctor Shack are extremely professional and personable. I had two other consultations. Both predicted longer treatment time by at least 6 months, higher expenses and multiple tooth extractions. I didnt have to have any teeth extracted under Dr. Hung and Shack's treatment. It was painless and cost was modest. I can't be happier. I would def recommend them.

I never post reviews but had to after receiving such amazing service from Dr. Hung and the entire staff. First off--I am about a week away from a perfect smile, and Dr. Hung has been really accommodating given my picky needs and perfectionist tendencies. He has been working with me through invisalign and now brackets on the top teeth for a month. Every single visit has been great and Dr. Hung is not kidding--I'm going to miss going to this office! It is rare to get such amazing customer service and friendliness in someone so talented. Dr. Hung is a rare gem in NY and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Hung is a fantastic orthodontist. He originally treated my son who was only ten at the time and needed extensive work. Today my son is sixteen and has a beautfiul smile. Best of all, he enjoyed his visits and got through the process with a minimum of discomfort. I was so impressed, I decided to have my teeth straightened too. A year and a-half later, I too have a great smile.

Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack are both extremely knowledgeable and capable. In fact, I'd say they are meticulous. They are also very pleasant and easy to talk to. They will take as long as needed to answer questions and be sure that you're satisfied with the work they are doing. The office staff is very nice and professional. I had a front tooth that was jutting out slightly - not a big deal but I'm just vain enough that I decided to visit Dr. Hung on the suggestion of my dentist. One of my top five decisions of all time. Chair-side manner is excellent (Dr. Hung conveys the utmost professionalism through an ear-to-ear infectious smile). The entire team is friendly and holds your hand throughout. When my dentist informed me that I needed to consider orthodontics, I was, to say the least, surprised. The prospect of sporting traditional braces did not sound too appealing to me. My reaction did not go unnoticed and at that point my dentist reassured me that he was recommending Invisalign.

During my first visit with Drs. Hung and Schack, I was skeptical and still did not see how braces of any type would fit into my life, but they eased all of my fears and actually made me excited to get started.

One thing that really stands out with Dr. Hung and his team is the personalized service. I never felt inconvenienced about going to my appointments and the relaxed atmosphere of their office made me feel so comfortable. I felt as though I was going to visit friends and not my doctors.

Over two years ago, I was in need of dental implants but realized I would need braces first. I was reluctant to get braces because I had several concerns. First, as an attorney, I was concerned about how braces would affect my appearance at work and whether my schedule would allow me to go to all of my dental appointments. Second, I was engaged to be married and the wedding date was less than two years away. From my first meeting with Dr. Hung, he assured me that he would keep my concerns in mind and do his best to accommodate my needs. During my entire treatment, he kept his word and made the entire experience pain-free and tolerable. He used clear braces so that they would be less noticeable, made accommodations to suit my busy schedule, and, most importantly as the bride-to-be, removed the braces in time for the wedding! I could not be happier with the results. Not only does my smile look great, but I feel healthier.

Dr. Hung is everything I want and expect in an orthodontist - accessible, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Dr. Schack, Jacqueline, Nicole, and Edith are likewise a great group of individuals! Therefore, I give my highest recommendation to anyone in need of an orthodontist.

I first consulted with Dr. Hung as a second opinion to determine if a palate expander was truly indicated. It was clear to Dr. Hung that it was not indicated. I was impressed with his approach and the way in which he discussed and clearly explained the data to arrive at his decision. There was no question after meeting him that my son was going to be under the care of Dr. Hung. My son liked him immediately. Two years later and right on target, the end results were superb. Dr. Hung's clinical judgment is invaluable. The bonus is that he has a great way with patients. His staff is also lovely; an additional bonus.The facility rating of "good" is due to the waiting room which is small but comfortable. More importantly, the examination rooms are clean and modern witht the most up to date equipment. I have recommended Dr. Hung to other people who are using him as well and who can't thank me enough for the recommendation. My son attests to all of the above.

I am so thrilled that I finally have a place to write a review on Dr. Hung and his office. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Hung through a previous patient of his and although my case was rather complicated, I knew that Dr. Hung was more than qualified and equipped to make my ortho treatment a very successful one. My instincts were right because now I have a smile that I never imagined was possible then! I also had other dental needs at the time and Dr. Hung was able to help organize, build, and facilitate a great team of dentists to work with my ortho treatment which made my smile turn out even more beautiful!

Growing up I seen alot of orthodontist to try to fix my mild crowding and overbite but everyone of them said that I didn't need it. No one realized that it truely bothered me, both Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack actually took the time to listen to my concerns. At first I couldn't believe that Invisalign could actually move your teeth with just these plastic aligners, but I am a true believer now. My teeth look great and I owe it all to these two wonderful doctors who took the time to explain the whole process in detail to me. I am in the dental field myself and Dr. Hung came highly recommended. What a great choice I made. I came to their office because I am getting married and what bride doesn't want perfect teeth. We decided to do invisalign which has worked out great thus far. I can not wait for the final results. The office as a whole is a great place to visit durning my lunch time appointment. Would I recommend their office? Of course YES!!

Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack, as well as the staff in the office, are amazing! From beginning to end, and all the time in between, I felt like I was their #1 patient. Orthodontics can be quite expensive but I would not hestitate for one moment to recommend Dr. Hung if you decide to make the investment in yourself, be it for Invisalign or traditional braces. My results have been far greater than I ever anticipated! And it was the first time I ever had such great service that I actually looked forward to going to my appointments!

These guys are simply fantastic. Their work is incredible, they're excited about their profession, and they care deeply about their patients. I've been seeing Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack for about 6 months now and they are treating me with Invisalign. When I first met with them, we discussed a range of treatment options. Both doctors provided input on how each procedure would impact me -- the results, the cost, the difficulties, etc. I'm thrilled with our decision. They executed perfectly and gave me the smile that I wanted. Now I just hope they're still in Manhattan if I ever have children that need orthodontic care.

The 2 years went by like a breeze. I always looked forward to visiting this clinic, I it was a nice relaxing break from work, the staff are so polite and welcoming, the office sparkling, bright and elegant, and they always made me feel like I was their only patient. Dr Hung loves to explain what he is doing and why, which, with my engineering background, satisfied my curiosity and also reassured me that I was getting the best possible personalized treatment. The moment of truth came when they took off my braces, it was a week from Xmas so it felt so much like a Xmas present. I love my new smile. I recommend this clinic very highly.

These guys are simply top notch. You will not find a more competent, caring and passionate groups of orthodontists. Their love of their work shines through in every interaction. All your worries quickly evaporate as you realize that they take all your concerns to heart and are more worried than you! I reccomend Dr. Hung and Dr. Shack without the slightest hesitation. I would highly recommend this group to anyone! I'm very picky when it comes to precision and only Dr. Hung understood exactly where I wanted to go with my alignment when everyone out there said that I already had 'straight' teeth. You get dual treatment in this office - with every visit, both Dr. Shack and Dr. Hung check your progress and confer with each other re. the next steps. Both are willing to patiently answer any question you have and make the whole process seem effortless. Besides from the treatment, the office and staff are absolutely wonderful! Thanks!!

My teeth are so beautiful now, I love my smile.

Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack are both very kind and professional. They are not the traditional scary dentists. I hate going to the dentist all my life but I actually felt happy and excited everytime I went to see them.

They helped me to bring my self-confidence back, now I don't have to cover my teeth everytime I laugh.

Dr. Hung is definitely the orthodontist to go to for Invisalign. He is an expert. You can tell that his work is his passion - no one could be this excited about every patient's teeth on a consistent basis if it wasn't! I'm not ones to write reviews but when you find the best orthodontist in the city, I HAVE to share Manhattan best kept secret! Dr. Hung is a REAL gem! He's is very personal and charismatic that you will love him when you first meet him. But don't let his youthful appearance fool you! He's an INVISALIGN GURU! I thoroughly did my research on his practice before starting treatment. He was highly recommended by my friends, so I knew I had to go to him. Once you step foot into this warm and super cool office, you will instantly see. I don't trust anyone with my teeth, but Dr. Hung. During my initial consultation, Dr. Hung spent more than ample time thoroughly discussing my treatment options. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease with my treatment. I've learn more about my teeth then I ever knew. My appointments every 8 weeks are a great treat for me. His entourage of fun and energetic staff makes me feel like a celebrity every time! Thank you Dr. Hung and Dr. Schack for my beautiful smile!!! I'm now a teeth snob, thanks to them! Why wouldn't you be? :)

I LOVE my new smile! I feel like a totally new person and I'm always smiling. I really enjoyed going to Dr. Hung's office for treatment.

And I love Dr. Hung! My experience has only been positive. Sounds cliche, but he's the greatest. Aside from being a dual-Harvard grad (his qualifications and skills were top-notch), he is professional, fun and funny. He made me feel like we were in this together to make my smile beautiful. He's definitely not your typical orthodontist. He listened like a friend and doctor to my concerns. He is VERY personable. The other patients seem to treat him with the respect of a super doctor, but have the rapport of a friend. I found this interesting because I don't have this relationship with my other doctors. Dr. Schack in his office is great as well and is also a Harvard grad. The staff is wonderful. I felt like they were my peers and they were very encouraging, organized, and patient-friendly.

The office is small, but modern, cozy, and clean. It's not a pretentious place of which I was grateful. Dr. Hung and the staff there make it an inviting place where patients don't feel intimidated. You can be yourself there.

Bottomline: Awesome all around.

Dr. Joe Hung is the Invisalign King. If you're looking for adult orthodontics and have reservations about what the experience would be like, let Dr. Hung put your mind at ease. He embraced invisalign at its onstart and knows how to provide great results. Even if you're not a good fit for invisalign treatment, Dr. Hung will have the right recommended traditional treatment for you. He has expertise in both arenas! His attention to detail and cosmetic aesthetics really maximizes orthodontal results. I am constantly complimented on my teeth and can now go into my wedding pictures knowing I have a winning smile.
