I was really nervous going in for my dental implants. I was going in for 2 dental implants one on each side. Dr. Gottesman did an amazing job. I didn't feel a thing, he let me know everything he was doing. He was very confident and he really did a wonderful job. I felt great and trusted him completely. The next thing you know one side was already done. I left his office in 2 hours.

The ladies working in the front are super friendly as well. The office is very welcoming.

The overall visit was great, I would highly recommend going to Dr. Gottesman if you are getting dental implants. I went to a few different dentist to get consultations and I didn't get the comforting feeling I had here.

Patient Review 2:

Dr. Gottesman successfully performed an extensive gum graft on my upper row of teeth. I had severe recession of my gums due to a combination of weak gums and over-aggressive brushing. Before meeting Dr. Gottesman, I sought a consultation from another well established periodontist on the Upper East Side. Since she uses a different technique that would require donor tissue from the roof of my mouth, I would have needed 5 - 6 separate (and painful) surgeries. Instead of the soft tissue graft, I opted for Dr. Gottesman's procedure using Alloderm, which would only require 2 total surgeries (one for the top row and the second for the bottom).

The most painful part of the surgery was actually getting the anesthesia. There was major swelling and soreness afterwards, but that was normal for such an extensive graft. Recovery was exactly as expected. Overall, the surgery was very successful and I'm really happy with the results! My gum coverage is so much better and they look great, Dr. Gottesman and his staff did a superb job. I'm looking forward to my second surgery for the bottom row of teeth so that I can have a full mouth of happy, healthy, non-recessed gums.

I'll start by saying I indicated the cost of the services I receive are expensive because I just don't think you can get that sort of thing done cheaply and I would be suspicious if you could.

As for Dr. Gottesman, he has a fantastic chair-side manner, is extremely patient, answers every question and has a true concern for the overall well being of his patients, not just their periodontic health. He explains procedures and causes of problems in clear, understandable detail. He knows when humour is appropriate to add levity to a situation and when a no-nonsense approach is more fitting.

He is very well trained and stays current on new treatments and ongoing research related to his work. His skills are impeccable and, although I just don' t know if it's possible to have completely pain free services such as I had, he makes it bearable.

The ladies at the front desk are helpful and friendly and very personable.

About Hygienist: The hygenist at the practice is very friendly and very good at putting nervous patients at ease. She's very thorough and does a great job.

I went in for a crown lengthening procedure with Dr. Gottesman. He did a wonderful job and I am so happy! The results surpassed my expectations and the recovery was a breeze. He's also a really easy-going guy and I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in having the procedure.

Dr. Gottesman is a careful listener and diagnoses with the help of up to date dental instrumentarium very exactly. His work is painless and before and during the procedure he communicates very well what he is going to do and why. His staff is friendly and dedicated. He has a way of dealing with his patients, as far as I can tell from my own experience, that makes them feel individuals; his well developed sense of empathy and his fine sense of humor may help him there.
