Patient Review 1:

The entire root canal was pain free. Honestly the needle hurt a bit but the actual procedure was nothing but intimidating with the sounds and pressure. It did not hurt at all and he gave me the option of having nitrous if I got too freaked out. Turns out I didn't need it. Just be prepared to sit there for a while, but you won't feel any pain. He was very nice to me, even when I shed a tear right before we got started. My only negative comment is how he spoke to his assistant. I felt he was a bit condescending towards her and grilled her with questions during the procedure. I think that sort of thing should not be done in the presence of a patient. If I had my I-pod with me I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought!

When i came to Dr. Dayani I was in the worst pain i had ever felt. He treated my tooth and gave me advise about taking better care of my teeth. It was a whole different expierience then ANY dentist i have ever been to. He took the time to discuss my medical & financial situation and really find a way to keep me pain free and healthy. The front desk staff is also extremly professional and helpful. Overall I feel that Dr. Dayani & his staff are focused, professional, honest, & helpful.

I was referred to Dr Dayani by my family dentist yesterday. I received root canal treatment earlier this afternoon. The procedure was relatively painless and he talked me through the entire treatment/discovery process - before and after the procedure. This was definately one of the most pleasant dental visits that I have ever had. I would highly recommend this Endodontist to family and friends.

Please consider this a rave review on Dr. Nima Dayani and his entire practice! Everything (appt scheduling, dealing with my insurance, office staff, his dental assistant, and most importantly, the actual procedure) went impeccably well. Initially, I was anxiety-ridden since I'd never had a root canal procedure previously. I honestly do not know what all the fuss was about. During the procedure, I was blissfully numb - truly did not feel a thing. I went back to the office afterwards, and had no problems at all. Right now, it is the next day and I haven't even had to take an Advil. I am COMPLETELY PAIN-FREE!!! I would recommend this Endodontist to EVERYONE! He and his staff were all amazing and wonderful!! Perfecto!! PS This survey will not allow me to choose "extremely cheap" because of the "Like a health spa" rating, but the cost to me was EXTREMELY CHEAP compared to the bill that i was expecting to get!!!

I found Dr. D by Googling "NYC endodontist" and was trepidacious about going, but I had a root canal that my regular dentist was not comfortable handling.

He answered my phone call on a Saturday, gave me an appointment for Monday morning, and treated me with sensitivity. The experience was painfree.

The only thing I didn't like was that he didn't come in to introduce himself initially -- a tech simply started taking digital x-rays. But as soon as he arrived and went to work, he was totally focused on my mouth and kept me apprised of what he was doing. He saved my tooth.

Dr. Dayani performed a complex piece of dental surgery for me with WAY less pain than I anticipated. Through it all he talked to me like I was an adult and engaged me in making informed decisions about my own care, which was a breath of fresh air. Dr Dayani is truly amazing - First, when I called him to day I was having pain and thought I might need a root canal - his terrific office staff made time for me. Dr Dayani explains in great detail the procedure and the patient's options - this was very much appreciated. I felt virtualy no pain and I already feel 100% better. His work is flawless. Lastly - and most importantly, he makes himself available for quesitons and has patience and no attitude. Dr. Dayani performed a root canal on one of my molars, I had never had a root canal before and was quite apprehenisve about the process. He was great at explaing what the process entails and assessing whether the root canal was in fact necessary.

During the procedure he was extremely professional, gentle and the process was absolutely pain free. My post treatment side effects were miminal and the small amount of pain I experienced after the procedure was gone the next day. The office was also nice enough to call the next day to find out how I am doing.

The facilites were very comfortable and Dr. Dayani's abilites made my root canal procedure stress and pain free. I would recommend him as a great endodontist.

I had two molars root canals treatments with Dr. Dayani for the last 12 month. Originally, molars were treated by my first dentist and they both failed after two years. I was informed by my dentist that solutions are surgery or tooth extractions with implants. When I came to Dr. Dayani for second opinion, he just advised to re-do both molars. Results were outstanding! Infection and pain disappeared shortly after the treatment and I saved two tooth's.

Procedure was completely pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Dayani to anybody who considers root canal treatment. Don't take your chances with general dentists. They just don't have similar skills and equipment.

I don't know where to begin. I arrived at the office filled with dread, sure I was going to have a difficult and painful experience. This never happened.

Josephine put me at ease as soon as I arrived. The entire staff was kind and helpful. I also couldn't get over the fact that Josephine phoned me the morning after the procedure, on behalf of Dr. Dayani, to see how I was doing.

Dr. Dayani couldn't have been nicer. He explained everything in detail and showed concern for my comfort and well-being throughout the entire procedure. He even provided a wonderful neck pillow when I indicated that my neck felt strained!

Dr. Dayani let me come in for an emergency appointment, it was the first time I had ever seen him. His staff was extremely helpful and thorough with me and when I found out I needed a root canal he explained it to me in great detail and answered all my questions...and I had many. He even did the procedure the same day. It was painless and simple. The only thing that hurt were the shots of novacaine. Post-treatment he fully explained all the steps I'd need to take to finish up without any problems(I'm leaving in a matter of days, so it really was a lifesaver). He even offered his services if I had any residual effects or needed to fix my bite again. I would reccomend him 100% and will most definitely see him again when the need arises. For myself, being notoriously bad at the dentist/endodontist's office, he was a pleasure. Extremely patient, caring, thorough and accomplished. My best experience yet, it this regard!!!

I was in need of a root canal 2 years ago. After initially going with an endodontist I randomly picked out of my Delta Dental dentist list, I was very unhappy with the endodontist's effort and attidute. So I had to get rid off him half way of the treatment and did a thourough search on Dr.Oogle website. I picked Dr. Dayani based on the rave reviews. The results completely justified the great things people had to say about him. I am very happy with the results. He came across as being very intelligent, besides being gentle and passionate and so forth, and I could feel that he knew his trade in my gut, even though I was a complete layman. I needed to have a root canal done so I was referred to a dentist by a friend. After having the first step of the procedure done (on a Friday) I started having extreme pain in my tooth and jaw that night. I couldnt get a hold of my dentist so I searched all night for 24 hour emergency numbers. Finally I came across Dr. Dayani's number. He answered the phone every time I called and was extremely patient with me about describing pain management with medication and what was causing the pain. He even made himself available that Saturday to see me, treat my tooth (which relieved almost all the pain), and then continued to treat the tooth after that. He was a lifesaver! I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to have a root canal. He's extremely thorough, considerate, patient, and skilled. You feel confidant you're in good care when you're with him.

I have never had a more pleasant dental visit. Dr. Dayani was very attentive and kind, and took the time to explain everything I asked about. He even offered to explain things I didn't ask about. I felt little pain and was generally at ease throughout the entirety of the procedure. I had my first root canal last week. To say I was apprehensive would be an understatement. I was a nervous wreck. Dr. Dayani was reassuring and confident before the procedure. His hygenist and assistants were superb. But the best part, other than a small prick from the novicane, I felt NOTHING! He worked quickly and checked on my comfort level frequently. It was over in no time. I kept expecting dire pain once the novicane wore off, but again there was NOTHING! Since this was my first root canal, I cannot compare this experiece to other endodontists, but why go anywhere else when you've found the best?! (I would have prefered a brighter waiting area, but all was clean.)

I highly recommend Dr. Dayani. Due to negative past experiences I had been EXTREMELY fearful of the dentist. After reading Dr. Dyani's reviews, I called the emergency number. Dr. Dayani called me back quickly and I made an appointment with the receptionist for an emergency root canal procedure later that day. The front desk receptionist was friendly, competent, and very helpful with insurance processing. The hygenist was very pleasant also. Regarding the procedure; there were two small pricks; but other than that, no pain. If you're afraid, like I was, Dr. Dyani and the hygenist will help you and walk you through it. In comparison to past procedures I've had done, including several root canals, this was not unpleasant at all. Dr. Dayani was very reasurring and highly capable. I had a difficult retreatment needed of a molar root canal. A fourth root had not been detected in the first root canal -- by a different Endodontist. Dr. Dayani was successful in finding the 4th root. Unfortunately it was partially blocked. With an artist's flair, but in dentistry, he unblocked and cleaned everything out. I can finally eat on both sides of my mouth. Treatment wise, he was excellent. I do wish that his office was part of my insurance plan. Although they processed the paperwork for me, they are not contracted with any insurance and so less is covered at least with my insurance.

I had my first root canal performed by Dr. Dayani. The procedure was pain free and so far very succcessful. He very carefully explains what he's doing and what your post-care should be. His office called me the next day to see how I was. He may be the best dentist I've had (too bad he's not in general practice).

I highly recomend Dr.Nima Dayani he is a very good dentist. I was really scared to have a root canal, I had a bad experience in my past and was really terrified for a new procedire. Dr. Dayani was very nice and patient from the beggining, he made me feel very comfortable all the time. I expected this to be a very painful experience, but I was wrong. The hygienist was very attentive all the time as well as the person in the front desk. The office is very clean and has very nice view.

I called Dr. Dayani's office on a Tuesday and was able to get an appt. for Wednesday! That was great! I was so happy they were able to see me so soon. This was my first root canal so I was nervous. I had absolutely no reason to be! He explained everything to me and once I was numb I didn't feel a thing at all. I even closed my eyes for most of the procedure and just had my hands on my lap. He is a very nice soft spoken man. I always tense up during novacaine shots but they weren't that bad. It's always over in less than a minute and after that comes the sweet feeling of numbness. He was very thorough with the work that needed to be done and I felt no pain afterwards. As a matter of fact, my tooth feels GREAT now. It's painless. I was getting sharp pain before I went for the procedure and now that pain is gone. Of course it's a little tender because it's had work done but today is 3 days later and even the tenderness has gone. The best part about it was that I only took two pain killers (ibuprofen). One right in the office before I left (upon Dr. Dayani's suggestion) and one that same evening before I went to bed. THAT'S IT! I've not had a reason to take another. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. DAYANI!!!

I almost went to another endodontist because the name of his practice sounded like a dental mill, but it was anything but. Very tony office which always scares me a bit, however Dr Dayani was very thorough, made very sure I understood what he was doing along with the entire process, and was extremely competent. His professional opinion was dead on, and his patient manner was excellent. My procedure was only for a consultation (he counseled against root canal) and was covered by my insurance, so I cannot comment more on procedures or cost.

Dr. Dayani's treatment is probably the closest you can come to a pleasant root canal treatment. In fact, the whole procedure was quick and absolutely painless, the doctor as well as his staff are very kind and extremely competent, and I very much appreciated how Dr. Dayani explained every step of the process to me beforehand. The location and facilities are excellent, and, especially since this was a rather difficult case, I am overall very happy with the results of the treatment - and so was my dentist. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dayani's service.

I did not think it was possible to ever utter the words that it is a always a pleasure dealing with you since every time we meet we do a root canal. The procedures have been absolutely pain-free every time, I appreciate very much that you take time to explain the procedures thoroughly. Also, it has been a pleasure to deal with everybody in your office, at the front desk they are very helpful with insurance matters and the assisting staff is very pleasent to deal with - and also quite educated. The routine you have to call the patient a day or two after the procuedures is excellent.

I can think of only one thing to improve a little and that might be your calendar, sometimes I have to wait for 30-40 minutes after my apporintment time.

The first thing anyone will notice about a visit to Dr. Dayani is the location, located in the heart of manhattan, exactly on the South east corner of Central park, making getting there very easy. Next, the waiting room is very pleasent, not a typical doctor's waiting room, I felt like I was in my own living room. The secretaries are warm and friendly, and the wait is shorter compared to other dentists.

But most of all, I was impressed by the latest technology he uses. No more waiting for X rays to get developed, he shoots them with a ditigal camera, and the photo appears on the computer screen in front of you in seconds! You can also watch his work on the screen ,while he is working! Very professional, highly recommended

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Dayani and his staff. He has done several root canals for me. His manner is calming and friendly. He takes the time necessary to provide optimal treatment. Dr. Dayani made himself accessible following treatment if I had any questions or problems. The best part was that I experienced no pain following treatment that wasn't covered by tylenol.
