My root canal was performed on 7/23. My experience with Dr Dayani has been the very best experience ever... He made sure that I am ready to perform the procedure even if it takes longer for him. and also check to make sure i am 100% pain free 4 times... Very patient. I felt my sensitivity to cold water is gone, and almost painfree after the procedure. In addition, he was willing to work with me on my financing.

His staff are also excellent! All the reviews are REAL! =D Thank you Dr. Dayani!!!

I had a root canal. And although Dr. Dayani didn't accept my insurance he was highly recommended by my dentist. He was extremely generous and gave me a discount on my treatment since I was referred by another dentist. He and his staff were exceptionally professional and kind. I had a wonderful experience and did not have any pain during my procedure. I even got a follow-up call the next day to see how I was feeling. I hope I never have another root canal but if I do I will go to Dr. Dayani for sure and I would recommend him to others.

Although my treatment was quite expensive, I consider myself lucky to have found Dr. Dayani. He and his staff were wonderful -- very professional and very friendly. My root canal was VERY complicated and difficult and took a while to complete, but I never felt any pain at all. When the feeling returned, the only discomfort was some soreness in my jaw from having been open for so long. By the next day, even that was gone. I cannot recommend Dr. Dayani's skill highly enough.

I couldn't have been more apprehensive about my root canal, but from the moment I met Dr. Dayani and his assistant, I was put at ease and made comfortable. Once the doctor started the procedure I knew from his gentleness and his soft-spoken manner that I was in good hands, that I could relax. It was lengthy but there was absolutely no discomfort at all during or afterwards. I thought the procedure was expensive; I had not known what to expect. I have no dental insurance. All said, I would (and already have) recommended Dr. Dayani to others.

Dr. Dayani is the best! I had my first root canal on a molar down the bottom, second one from the back on the left hand side and it was fast easy and painless. The new x-ray that the specialist took showed a major infection. He prescribed me antibiotics, took that for 7 days and after completing went in for the root canal. The only pain you will get is from the novicane. The entire left side of my mouth, tongue, and lips were numb, but otherwise I felt fine. I came home and was able to eat dinner, chewing on one side. After three hours and 600 mg of ibuprofen later, I felt comfortable. I have no soreness or jaw pain, NO pain whatsoever. Only when I would open my mouth wide open it hurt a little bit from the tenderness (maybe from the novicane). Besides that I was in NO pain at all! All in all, this was not as bad as I thought it was going to be! He put in a temporary filling that will last about 2 weeks and then I have to go back to a regular dentist for the crown. A crown costs about $600-1000.~SIGH~...my one back tooth is costing me an arm and a leg. I am unemployed and with no insurance, so this procedure was very expensive for me.

I was extremely nervous about the pain and cost of getting my first root canal when I visited Dr. Dayani, who was recommended by my dentist. However, I am happy to report the process was almost pain free and after my very basic insurance kicked in it was less than $270.00. Two sessions for almost hour and half each is, I dare say, inexpensive. Dr. Dayani was wonderful and sweet throughout the entire treatment. He even took the time to explain potential insurance price issues. I felt very comfortable and confident under his care.

I was referred to Dr. Dayanni because I needed to have a complex root canal performed. After an initial consultation with the Dr. in which the potential extent of the procedure was explained, I made an appointment to have the work done. Dr. Dayanni was professional, caring and skilled. He explained aspects of the procedure as he worked. I was filled with anxiety about the procedure but because of his calm nature and the relaxing environment of his office I immediatley relaxed. I felt ABSOLUTELY no pain and had none in the aftermath. His follow-up is to be commended. I received a call from his office the next day to ensure that I was experiencing no discomfort. Despite the relative (to me) expense of the procedure, I HIGHLY recommend Dr Dayanni to anyone having to undergo a root canal. His work is par excellence.

I had a very difficult root canal that involved a calcified tooth. 2 other dentists had tried to perform the procedure but were not able to do so. Dr. Dayani was successful which meant that I did not have to have the tooth extracted and get an implant.

Dr. Dayani was very pleasant and patient and took the time to answer all my questions. He was also very aware of the costs involved and was willing to work with me on the out-of-pocket expense that my insurance did not cover.

Dr. Dayani performed a root canal therapy that my regular dentist considered too complicated to attempt. The procedure was clear and efficient and was completed in the estimated time. I asked the doctor to explain things as he was going along, which he did. When I asked if could get a look at what was happening, I expected I might be given a glimpse of my tooth in an examination mirror. Instead, the doctor displayed the rest of the procedure on video, which I found very helpful, interesting, and reassuring. He readily answered all my questions about his work. Later, when the anesthesia wore off, there was a complete absence of pain. I would most heartily recommend his work to anyone.

I was told about 5 years ago that I might have to have a root canal. Talk about avoiding something. It wasn't unitl I had to have a few cavaties taken care this year that my dentist said... "You need to see an endodontist". "Curses!". well, i looked at my options and who was under my insurance and it wasn't who my dentist recommended. So I'm checking the list and come upon Dr. Dayani and his reviews. Loved them. Called the office and loved the receptionist. I found Dr. Dayani through this website and relied heavily on previous patient and referring dentist reviews. I must say that they are all 100% on point. Dr Dayani re-treated a badly infected root canal in my back molar which a previous endodontist did and missed one canal. He took his time, explained my options, what could be done and what the outcomes could be. Dr. Dayani performed a root canal after confirming a crack in my tooth and discussing the extraction vs root canal / crown option. His analysis was clear and his manner was calm and reassuring. This was my first root canal and I was quite anxious with the prospect, however, the procedure was smooth and relatively pain free. I was referred to another endodontist by a general dentist who I visited for a first look at my teeth but left her office wondering whether I could rely on her referral. So I turned to Dr. Oogle where I found some positive and encouraging reviews of Dr. Dayani. Dr. Dayani did not dissapoint. He is very knowledgeable, gentle, caring, and he explained everything that he was doing and did a fabulous job of fixing my tooth. His office did not dissapoint either. Although I had to wait a little before seeing him, the receptionist was great, very polite , accomodating and reassuring. The follow-up care was great, they called me the next day to see how I was doing, sent me an email and and Dr. Dayani, referred my case to another dentist for the crown treatment. I am delighted and relieved because truth be told I have always haboured deep fear of dentists and dental processes; root canals etc. I recommend Dr Dayani unreservedly. I went to Dr. Dayami because he was in my network and I had seen so many positive reviews. The office staff was very good and professional. Dr. Dayami took plenty of time to explain what was going on with my teeth and what needed to be done in a very compassionate way. I had a painful experience with braces for many years as a kid, so wisdom teeth, root canals, etc. don't really phase me if I am going to be numbed up. That said, many people are nervous about this stuff and he takes extra care to make you comfortable. The procedure went very well, no mistakes and I had almost no swelling and had no pain. The entire root canal was pain free. Honestly the needle hurt a bit but the actual procedure was nothing but intimidating with the sounds and pressure. It did not hurt at all and he gave me the option of having nitrous if I got too freaked out. Turns out I didn't need it. Just be prepared to sit there for a while, but you won't feel any pain. He was very nice to me, even when I shed a tear right before we got started. My only negative comment is how he spoke to his assistant. I felt he was a bit condescending towards her and grilled her with questions during the procedure. I think that sort of thing should not be done in the presence of a patient. If I had my I-pod with me I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought!

Please consider this a rave review on Dr. Nima Dayani and his entire practice! Everything (appt scheduling, dealing with my insurance, office staff, his dental assistant, and most importantly, the actual procedure) went impeccably well. Initially, I was anxiety-ridden since I'd never had a root canal procedure previously. I honestly do not know what all the fuss was about. During the procedure, I was blissfully numb - truly did not feel a thing. I went back to the office afterwards, and had no problems at all. Right now, it is the next day and I haven't even had to take an Advil. I am COMPLETELY PAIN-FREE!!! I would recommend this Endodontist to EVERYONE! He and his staff were all amazing and wonderful!! Perfecto!! PS This survey will not allow me to choose "extremely cheap" because of the "Like a health spa" rating, but the cost to me was EXTREMELY CHEAP compared to the bill that i was expecting to get!!!

I found Dr. D by Googling "NYC endodontist" and was trepidacious about going, but I had a root canal that my regular dentist was not comfortable handling.

He answered my phone call on a Saturday, gave me an appointment for Monday morning, and treated me with sensitivity. The experience was painfree.

The only thing I didn't like was that he didn't come in to introduce himself initially -- a tech simply started taking digital x-rays. But as soon as he arrived and went to work, he was totally focused on my mouth and kept me apprised of what he was doing. He saved my tooth.

I had a great experience. It was the first time I have a pain free root canal. Also, his facilities and equipment are amazing he has digital x-rays that can spot the smalest issue and laughing gas to help relax the patient during the procedure.

It was my first visit to Dr. Dayani and he is excellent. He is totally competent his manner allowed me to relax. I had heard many horror stories about the pain of root canal surgery and he is the best of the best being pain free. I highly recommend him if you need this surgery.

Dr. Dayani performed a complex piece of dental surgery for me with WAY less pain than I anticipated. Through it all he talked to me like I was an adult and engaged me in making informed decisions about my own care, which was a breath of fresh air. After every appointment his office called to follow-up and make sure I didn't have any unanswered questions, which was quite nice. I would recommend Dr. Dayani to anyone who needs an endodontist. Dr Dayani is truly amazing - First, when I called him to day I was having pain and thought I might need a root canal - his terrific office staff made time for me. Dr Dayani explains in great detail the procedure and the patient's options - this was very much appreciated. I felt virtualy no pain and I already feel 100% better. His work is flawless. Lastly - and most importantly, he makes himself available for quesitons and has patience and no attitude. I called him after my procedure with a few questions - and he got right on the phone to help me - he even told me to call back if I had any more questions!

Dr. Dayani performed a root canal on one of my molars, I had never had a root canal before and was quite apprehenisve about the process. He was great at explaing what the process entails and assessing whether the root canal was in fact necessary.

During the procedure he was extremely professional, gentle and the process was absolutely pain free. My post treatment side effects were miminal and the small amount of pain I experienced after the procedure was gone the next day. The office was also nice enough to call the next day to find out how I am doing.

The facilites were very comfortable and Dr. Dayani's abilites made my root canal procedure stress and pain free. I would recommend him as a great endodontist.

I had two molars root canals treatments with Dr. Dayani for the last 12 month. Originally, molars were treated by my first dentist and they both failed after two years. I was informed by my dentist that solutions are surgery or tooth extractions with implants. When I came to Dr. Dayani for second opinion, he just advised to re-do both molars. Results were outstanding! Infection and pain disappeared shortly after the treatment and I saved two tooth's. Procedure was completely pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Dayani to anybody who considers root canal treatment. Don't take your chances with general dentists. They just don't have similar skills and equipment.

I just came from being treated by Dr.Dayani. I found him on this site and decided to try one of the best. He is the best! I walked in extremely nervous and thought I was going to have a panic attack since I had a bad experience with another endodontist. You can believe these reviews of him. I don't know where to begin. I arrived at the office filled with dread, sure I was going to have a difficult and painful experience. This never happened.

Josephine put me at ease as soon as I arrived. The entire staff was kind and helpful. I also couldn't get over the fact that Josephine phoned me the morning after the procedure, on behalf of Dr. Dayani, to see how I was doing.

Dr. Dayani couldn't have been nicer. He explained everything in detail and showed concern for my comfort and well-being throughout the entire procedure. He even provided a wonderful neck pillow when I indicated that my neck felt strained!

I appreciate all that was done for me. I left the office free of pain and have continued to feel fine......no pain and no need for pain medication.

Dr. Dayani let me come in for an emergency appointment, it was the first time I had ever seen him. His staff was extremely helpful and thorough with me and when I found out I needed a root canal he explained it to me in great detail and answered all my questions...and I had many. He even did the procedure the same day. It was painless and simple. The only thing that hurt were the shots of novacaine. Post-treatment he fully explained all the steps I'd need to take to finish up without any problems(I'm leaving in a matter of days, so it really was a lifesaver). He even offered his services if I had any residual effects or needed to fix my bite again. I would reccomend him 100% and will most definitely see him again when the need arises. For myself, being notoriously bad at the dentist/endodontist's office, he was a pleasure. Extremely patient, caring, thorough and accomplished. My best experience yet, it this regard!!!

I was in need of a root canal 2 years ago. After initially going with an endodontist I randomly picked out of my Delta Dental dentist list, I was very unhappy with the endodontist's effort and attidute. So I had to get rid off him half way of the treatment and did a thourough search on Dr.Oogle website. I picked Dr. Dayani based on the rave reviews. The results completely justified the great things people had to say about him. I am very happy with the results. He came across as being very intelligent, besides being gentle and passionate and so forth, and I could feel that he knew his trade in my gut, even though I was a complete layman. I needed to have a root canal done so I was referred to a dentist by a friend. After having the first step of the procedure done (on a Friday) I started having extreme pain in my tooth and jaw that night. I couldnt get a hold of my dentist so I searched all night for 24 hour emergency numbers. Finally I came across Dr. Dayani's number. He answered the phone every time I called and was extremely patient with me about describing pain management with medication and what was causing the pain. He even made himself available that Saturday to see me, treat my tooth (which relieved almost all the pain), and then continued to treat the tooth after that. He was a lifesaver! I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to have a root canal. He's extremely thorough, considerate, patient, and skilled. You feel confidant you're in good care when you're with him.

Dr. Dayani was thorough, efficient and case sensitive. After telling him of my apprehension of dental visits, he helped put me at ease and was very gentle with the procedure for root canal. Front desk was helpful and extremely curteous as well. They even called the next day to see how I was doing. The procedure was very successful and relatively pain-free, which is a plus for those who fear such a procedure. He helped erase the myth in facing a root canal!
