For selected cases, a tooth that requires extraction may be removed and an implant can be placed that same visit. This is great situation!!! It eliminates the need for a second surgery. Also a patient may avoid the normal waiting period before the implant can be restored and the tooth placed. This can be comfortably performed under sedation or local anethesia.
